Today, April 12, 2017, organized by the Association for the Development of Rural Tourism in BiH "Alterural" (www.alterural.ba) and the Association for support and development of sports tourism "Avantur", the promotion of rural tourism services in the vicinity of Sarajevo was held under the title " Discover Bosnia and Herzegovina through villages ". The promotion was held from 12:00 to 14:00, at the Atrium Hall of the Sarajevo Hotel Europa.
The goal of this event was to promote the offer in rural tourism as well as to invite tourists visiting Sarajevo to extend their stay. It is about the offer of one-day excursions in the wider surroundings of Sarajevo which include hiking, riding, biking, rafting, rural households, small family restaurants, home-made products and home-made traditional specialities, as well as a host of other interesting guests. Representatives of Vareš, more precisely the representatives of the Municipal Tourist Info Center and representatives of the Association "Women's Forum Strica-Zaruđe" and the Association "Izvorno Vareško" took part in this presentation.
The guests had the opportunity to get acquainted with the rich offer of local products and specialities owned by Strica and Zaruđe, pioneers in the field of rural tourism in the municipality of Vareš. Also the Association "Izvorno Vareško" presented their products and handicrafts. Representatives of the agencies are familiar with the great tourist potential that Vareš region possesses, with a special emphasis on the potentials of hiking, mountain biking and other adventurous sports.
